Spray painted kitchen Hale

This was an exciting project to undertake.

Reason being, it had previously been painted in a darkish green colour. The finish was not good either. It had stringy brush marks too!

That’s where I relish taking on a project like this as I know that it is going to look and feel completely different.

My client was asking, ” Will there be no brush marks visible?” Where I answered absolutely not.

The kitchen was taken apart – doors ,drawers, knobs and hinges removed etc. And then taken to my workshop to remove all the horrible uneaven paintwork.

This was also followed by seriously sanding back the in situ areas.

The colours were to be a a Farrow and Ball equivalent to Purbeck Stone and Railings.

So when I do start to spray, I prime with the same colours.

On this project I primed using an Italian paint called Renner 643 – code name for the primer. Then after rubbing down I removed all the dust.

I then applied two coats of the finishing coat, rubbing down between coats For this I used Renner 762. This had a 10 percent sheen level.

I use Renner as it is a tough paint which gives a beautiful finish. This can withstand the rigours of daily life.

The kitchen is thoroughly masked up so paint spray doesn’t go where it shouldn’t. The masking is so accurate that the lines are perfectly straight and sharp.

As you can see the transformation is stunning.

My clients were very, very pleased with the result.
