This was an oak kitchen with oak grain running through it.
(Completed photos below.)
The client had bought the house for the kitchen and it’s layout. Unfortunately it was too dark and absorbing light.
That’s where I came in.
This kitchen was really solid. I specified Paint and Paper Library’s Oil Eggshell as the finish. This would give an extremely durable finish with the aesthetic look required for a top end hand painted kitchen look.
The knobs were changed too to give a completely new look to the kitchen. this is something I do as a free service as the knobs and handles are going to be placed back anyway.
I used my usual methods of degreasing, applying high adhesion primer and rubbing down between coats to give the perfect finish.
I do these kitchens and furniture day in, day out. It takes skill and discipline to have every door looking perfect.
I’ve took photos at an angle so you can see the finish.
Take note of the glass doors too, as they are sharp and no paint is on them. In fact, when I can, I will remove the glass prior to prep and painting, In this case they were siliconed in.
Attention to detail is the motto of any brilliant kitchen and furniture painter. I enjoy the challenges to perfectly painting a kitchen.
